The only way to get back on track to the Paris Accords — which aims to limit global warming to 1.5 to 2.0 C — is to pull the “Emergency Brake” climate solutions.

Towards the top of the list is curbing methane emissions as quickly as possible.

Science & tech are two of the only we fields we either lead in or are at least globally competitive in. Much of that is due to robust federal funding & our ability to attract talented students from around the world. Incredible to target both those things at once.

Presidents do not get to pick the events that tests them. Donald Trump has to actually deal with the climate crisis and I’m not going to let some political insiders pre-excuse his inaction. We cannot go four years with him cracking jokes and shifting blame about a deadly, dangerous thing.
