I mean, it's not totally soulless, people do appreciate it for a reason. The originals are worth studying, at least. What is soulless is how art like that is changing hands as if the lives of thousands of people don't rely on the chunk of economy they are throwing around for a fucking *picture.*

I beg to differ, because coming from something like the rhythm games community, and having played for nearly a decade now, there are people better than me who have a tenth of the hours I do. It's more luck, in a million different ways.
