The DWP does not support carers, and those they care for.
They think local authorities support them so they can work.
ECC say claim benefits. They say we are not obliged to support unpaid carers so they can work.

I have spent nearly 16 years now talking to ECC about the lack of SEND childcare, social care, adult care. I did my research, found examples of best practice, researched it, passed my findings on. I gave them solutions.
I even offered to talk at conferences about this.
I was ignored.

I am kind of annoyed that I did not see Doctor Who or Star Wars until I was about 17. My boyfriend at the time worked in a video shop.

I wore out the betamax tape of Close Encounters and studied astrophysics at uni... how did my parents not know I would love this.

Hans Zimmer wrote the theme tune to Going for Gold. A tune. Sick day off school memories.
So he could pay the bills.

And then he made the beautiful soundtrack to Interstellar.

Artists should be able to pay the bills to then be able create the music we love.
