41. Crucible

I love Gav's lyrics a lot of the time but sometimes the best way to capture the spirit of a video game is with an instrumental and Crucible makes for an incredible journey. I never get sick of it and how has nobody ever got Gav to score a video game before????

It's more that I instinctively assume other people are as honest and deliberate as I am

More reviews cometh
38. Shooter Guy

One of my favourite "funny songs" of Gav's. Exceedingly self-aware. Very funny.

It honestly peaks at the "prepubescent sniper" line but the song doesn't outstay its welcome and was released when the games industry was in a glut of modern military shooters.

I do love this one.

40. Life In Bullet Time

It's not as good as his Red Dead song but he can write a Sad Grizzled Man song pretty well and this almost makes me appreciate the Max Payne games (not my thing, alas).

Song is dark and moody. Not the most inventive lyrically but it's still not a miss by any stretch!

39. Legends of the Frost

Oh sick, the Malukah collab. Really takes advantage of her vocal talents without it just being capitalising on her going viral. Gav really set out to write a "bard song" and it's kinda catchy.

Honestly don't find myself revisiting this one that much but hey, it's solid.

Not relevant to you, btw. Just musing

Okay but how to interpret someone blocking you on twitter and apparently having no problem interacting here

But like, are we meant to think she's playing hard to get and is actually into it? Because if she turned into a lion or a lightning bolt or something then he'd be SOOL but she's all like "teehee I'm a hare!" so he can be a greyhound and "have his fill".

Bloody heck English folk songs are filthy

but he is ALSO a shapeshifter so he flies after her, and she transforms again. And the things they transform into differ with each version but her choices are often quite... Receptive? Like she turns into a horse so he becomes a saddle. Fly? He's a spider.

And in most versions he catches her!

Shout out to people with undiagnosed coordination disorders who think they're fine because their handwriting is legible (but it hurts loads to write)

I do respect boundaries. Dunno where you got any ideas that I'm not, except for the fact I'm trans.
