It's actually *worse* that the motivation of everyone involved isn't "I'll be tortured for eternity if I don't do this" but "I have small odds of getting to dominate and torture everyone else for eternity, but what is even the point of life if not pursuing that?"

We need decent-paying jobs for those who cannot (or choose not) to "hustle". Jumping through hoops shouldn't be a prerequisite for living a decent life. You may have to accept that you will never be "rich" in this system, but a decent life should be within everyone's reach.

You could just choose not to worry about why someone needs disability assistance. You could read a book or scroll on your phone or do sudoku, and just let other people do their thing.
