I know more about trans men‘s experiences than trans women‘s or nonbinary people’s, bc I am one, but I know my nonbinary and trans femme friends have similar bad experiences with wider conversations about gender and inequality in German speaking spaces. Anyway. Thread/rant over.

Legislation, but the media doesn’t pick up on it. We suffer from hyper invisibility (in comparison to trans women‘s hyper visibility), so our suffering goes unnoticed. And we are given no space in the general conversation to talk about it, so anytime we speak up, it’s seen as taking space from

Transphobes, in contrast to popular belief, don’t just focus on trans women in their attacks. Half the narrative is about girls being groomed into being trans and not being able to give birth or breast feed. Those 'girls' are actually trans guys. Trans guys are often mentioned in transphobic-

FLINTA does not mean women and women-like. Stop making female/woman oriented spaces (which are totally okay! On their own!) and labeling them as "FLINTA". You have created a space hostile to trans men and some trans women and nonbinary people.

Trans men are more likely to face domestic/partner violence and sexual violence than any other gender group. About 1/4 cis women face sexual violence - a horrifically high number. But over half of trans men do too. We need protection, visibility, and survivor services too. And we rarely get them.

Trans men, likewise, are not to be held responsible for cis men. You cannot hold a victim accountable for their oppressor. You can say "protect the dolls" all you want but if you forget or even shun trans men you aren’t a trans ally. Not really.

A trans man takes nothing away from cis women, even if he "looks like a cis man". He has earned that spot and had to work harder and face more hurdles and more oppression than a cis woman. Yes, even if he’s doing it in a male-dominated field.
