Anyone building Gquuuuuux for their first gunpla? I think one runner here has more parts than the entire Zaku that I built for my first kit. It's wild what they're doing with HG these days, but I wonder if we'll reach a point where would-be builders are intimidated.

My last major concern on this model was that the top looked like a single big blob of color. With some judicious application of dark wash and very, very light white drybrushing, I'm already much happier with it than I was ten minutes ago.

With some details like eyes and teeth, the mini is starting to look really alive.

"Toby" is coming along. I'm surprised that the three shades of blue look so similar on the mini when they looked so distinct in the paint pots. There's a gradation there, but you have to really look.

Also want to shout out to the letterer on Issak, Darren Smith, who’s doing awesome work, especially with the unique looking and dynamic sound effects that are all over this series.

Issak is still coming out, and I’m still really proud of my work on it. It's dramatic, it's exciting, and I'm having tons of fun with it.
