With this commitment, Victoria is co-ordinated with the other states to deliver the Special Envoy's repressive agenda.

why diversity of tactics? We are stronger together with a diversity of tactics, including effective militant action against fascists / cops. We need to cut the momentum behind the white supremacist ecosystem. Counter-protests have to be confrontational to make our racist opponents fear us to demobilise them. To condemn and sabotage people taking risks on our side makes us weaker and helps the fascists / state. Cops that violently uphold colonial capitalist ‘australia’ can easily control us if we are not agile in resisting their tactical moves together. The similar rise of racist anti-immigrant Pauline Hanson’s One Nation was beaten back by militant anti-fascism in the 90s. A counter in Dandenong in 1997 was met with Asian youth emptying stores of eggs and tomatoes to throw at fascists, who were also physically confronted with counter-violence. In a similar vein in the times of racist anti-Islam ‘reclaim australia’, a counter in Coburg in 2016 saw antifascists including young Arab men confront the fascists physically, who then could not march on Sydney Rd. Our failures on August 31st were not due to some people using militant tactics. They were because of we did not have enough numbers, stay in the streets long enough, liberal illusions in the kkkops, and we didn’t communicate well enough across groups. We need to encourage and support each other resisting cops / fash! Love and rage against ‘australia’!

Their networks recruit people away from internationalist class solidarity to supremacy, scapegoating oppressed communities

Anti-fascist organising statement: Last Sunday in Melbourne, the far-right and neo-Nazis mobilised thousands in marches that attacks migrants, the Palestine movement, antifascists and people in Kuffiyehs. The ended in a disgraceful attack on Camp Sovereignty, leaving people badly injured and parts of the protest camp trashed. We are initiating a broad antifascist and anti-racist united front to ensure the events of last Sunday are not repeated. We are united by a shared understanding that the working class have a common interest in opposing fascism in all its forms. We call for maximum unity and collaboration to give First Nations peoples, the left, unions, migrant communities and all anti-racists the best chance at stopping the far right threat before it grows out of control. We also call for no collaboration with the police. The police uphold the far-right and the white supremacist foundations of so-called “Australia”. The best way to defend possible victims of the fascists is to drive them off the streets through mass, militant, working class action. We will start by opposing their planned action at Parliament on September 13. We will march to meet the far-right rally at Parliament, and if our forces are strong enough, prevent them from marching.
