Nemesi appear to be humanoid, and to the best of my knowledge the only egg laying mammal is the platypus.
I’m no expert on Eterra’s bestiary, but unless Nemesi also share DNA with corrupted platypi, we may need to conclude the egg came first.
Or perhaps Nemesi are actually Nagasa in disguise…
