A very happy Christmas to all those who celebrate! Hope everyone is having a good festive break. Below is a mid-12th century relief of the Nativity. Originally from the Lower Rhine, the relief is now part of the collections at the V&A in London. 📸 My own. #Christmas

We hope you've enjoyed our advent calendar of vintage buses. Today is the last one, and we wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas. The 25 in Bolton went to Halliwell, later the 525, and this bus is in Bolton's Newport Street waiting for its trip out of town.

Ahead of Christmas, it feels fitting to share this Roman fibula - a decorative pin once used to fasten garments - shaped like a stag.
In my Christmas-influenced imagination, it looks rather reindeerish! 🎄
Is it Dasher, Dancer, or maybe Rudolph? 🎅
