I’ve found that bus software exists but it’s either a) really expensive, b) controlled by vendors who told me to go pound sand or said they didn’t want our money, or c) isn’t exactly designed for transportation and we have to shoehorn our operations into […]

Accidentally shut down a whole VPS node instead of a single VPS. How's your Sunday going? 😑

At least Apple’s vibe code is better than Microsoft’s vibe code. But then again, I’ve used Claude, I’ve used ChatGPT which Copilot uses. It’s no wonder Apple is at least usable and Windows […]

I wish more apps copied LibreNMS's update function. It just sits in the background, doing its thing. I never have to manually update. It just does it. In the number of years I've been running LibreNMS, I can count on 1 hand the number of times this […]

Finally! A feature I've wanted on NodeSpace for a few years now: a server checkout experience we control, not our billing software! Soon, clients can pick a server, customize it, and check out all from our website! 🥳

The flytraps are doing quite well in their dormancy. Shooting off smaller traps, they’re doing well chilling (literally) in the garage under a shop light for most of the day. They should hopefully get to be back outside in March! #venusflytrap

If you're going to be an acronym, can you make sure it's not weird? I have a feeling if I say, "I need the business credit card for CRAC," I'm going to have law enforcement show up...

Snow day (well, snow didn't start until late tonight), so I decided to start updating the NodeSpace website. Still keeping the same overall design, but improving it A LOT.

I remember when I got into a spat with a MAGAt that ICE wasn’t hurting citizens. Fuck MAGA, Fuck Trump, Fuck ICE, Fuck Noem. 🖕

A few weeks ago, I got an email that Freshstatus was shutting down. So I wrote my own status platform. Still have some kinks to work out, but it's better than nothing...

According to the forecast models, my region is expected to get between 1 and 5734 inches of snow. Bring it.

Low key, after spending $180.32 on 9 domain renewals, I’m kinda glad I’m starting to sunset my tech career. Maintaining a text file should not cost this much.

Hey folks, when you come across a cool blog post, please
- link it in your blog if you have one
- Post a link here

I've found the best blogs from links here and also when an article referenced other blogs.

Keep in mind, the inter-NET needs links. Otherwise it's no net.

If I had Musk money, I would throw $44 billion at ReactOS. Just think of how worried Microslop would be if there was a 100% free and open source version of Windows they had to compete with that lacked their AI slop and abusive M$ Account and […]

Let me tell you, the amount of paperwork I’ve had to do to work for a family-owned transportation company 😂 I’ve had to do an application, HOS and disclose I’m working elsewhere, take a pre-employment drug test, sign a document giving the company permission to check the FMCSA Clearinghouse […]

The Microsoft to Microslop addon is quite amusing when you’re using it on whatever they’re calling Office 365 now.

There’s a reason I rarely send emails to @nodespace clients. Because I ask myself “Would I want this in my inbox?” And generally the answer is “No”. Most businesses don’t operate like mine and hit “send” because they can. Just waste the bandwidth sending this useless message.

I must have a bad bacterial infection. On Tuesday I finished my 10 day supply of antibiotics and I felt better during the week. But yesterday the sore throat returned along with the stuffy nose. This marks 21 days of being sick. I don’t get it. My last cold lasted about a month as well.
