I would guess a cargo ship where something dislodged some years after sinking, and the currents are just now washing these ashore after more years (maybe decades) of drifting.

The thing that gets me here is that implicitly he assumes the games he makes will capture the same revenue and therefore the savings will be his profit and not that the decreased cost of production will lead to more games being released and therefore splitting the same sales between more games.

1. Could you tell the difference with Firefox’s market share? Pre-AI browsers were already dominating them.
2. If 90% of market share was pre-AI browsers that all switched to integrating AI at once, is the addition of AI meaningful to the analysis?

Disney is buying part of OpenAI, and OpenAI agreed to an licensing arrangement of undisclosed terms. There's probably some amount of cash flowing back to Disney, and OpenAI gets to eliminate one possible major IP litigant.

I'm also wondering if it's some scheme to ameliorate judges in copyright/trademark litigation against the other AI models. Google/Xai/Anthropic/et al. have a harder time arguing that Disney is unreasonable if they have an agreed contract with one of their competitors.
