So…

The bill passed?

I mean… I’m not surprised…

But like… there are still SO MANY PEOPLE who have absolutely no idea just how fucked we are.

This will have decades-long repercussions.

This isn’t okay.

Ugh.

Maybe keep it to yourself. I’m proud you have a hobby, but I find it offensive since religion is the reason why our world is so full of hate and anger.

Okay hear me out, a new constitutional amendment that prohibits all forms of dictatorships. Implied decency isn’t working for us anymore.

I propose that we build a wall around Texas and all of the Republicans can move there… progressives are allowed asylum outside of state lines. If the Texas power grid goes out, they can just burn books for fuel.

Era dysphoria? Anachronistic? Temporal dissonance? Not sure what term fits, still searching for the words that describe this overwhelming sensation of not belonging. It feels wrong, like a disjointed feeling when relating to current society. I don’t fit in here.

I needed to hear this today.
Debating reactionaries is *never* a good idea

You might win on 'facts', but you'll always lose politically: they are not arguing in good faith, they want their ideas to become seen as acceptable in public discourse

And by debating them, you're giving them what they want

It really is that simple

The unburnable Handmaid's Tale was created in 2022.

Atwood auctioned it off, donating all the $ proceeds to PEN America in support of its work to protect free expression.
