I played a little bit of Backyard Hockey on Steam to see what team names they have since it seemed like they couldn’t get the NHL licenses. Turned out they got plenty of original team names that have logos that look legally distinct to the NHL.

Tonight is a RARE Occurrence where 2 of my sports teams are playing at the same time. Florida State Seminoles are struggling with Stanford on the road 13-10 and the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters are playing Game 5 of the Pacific Championship series against the Softbank Hawks.

This is recent and don’t tell Dan this, but Twisted Metal 2. Maybe it doesn’t play well on PS5 but I had an infuriating time trying to reach credits on that game. My dog gave me looks of concern when I got frustrated.

Ok but what are you gonna call your team? There’s no NFL teams so you can’t be the Bengals but we have all of these original team names and logos to pick from. I’m thinking either the Ducks, Crabs, Penguins or Orcas.

I did yesterday but I went onto topsters 3 to post my favorite games per console that I played. Also did a 1 game per franchise rule and for PC Games I grouped them by decade from the 90’s to the 2020’s.

It’s quite telling when folks like @tolkoto.com went more vertical for Gooey being playable in Kirby Air Riders than anything announced at Gamescom.
