And lastly... shut down the shade garden. It will never work. Pull the posts, move the plants you like to other places, and grass over the rest.

Plant ferns in the dry part of the terrace. They just might make it.

Green beans just aren't good from the garden, but wax beans are. Consider growing some of those.

How did cabbage do? --> Great! Possibly having a smooth variety and not savoy helps to keep the bugs out.

Plant lots of lavender and sedums in the drive bed and terrace to fill it up. They provide a strong visual front, suppress weeds, and don't need much water.

3 Sisters in the veg patch? You need a flint or dent corn (Oaxacan green?), a pole bean (New Mexico cave beans were so good) and whatever squash you like. <-- You have the seeds. Make it so.

How did high tunnel tomatoes do? <--They sucked. Forget it.
