Tell us 📢 where you’d like your street tree 🌳 planted.

When a resident sponsors a tree through
@treesforstreets.bsky.social, they get to say where they’d like it planted. Their council does a survey. If all ok, a tree is put in that following winter.

Street trees are vital habitats for thousands of species that live in urban areas; without them, we'd lose a lot of local ecosystems 🦉🐝🐞🦋

Today, we're using World Habitat Day to urge councils to partner with us to enable wildlife to thrive in the areas they look after.

We love looking at the colours of the changing leaves in the autumn 🍂🍁

🌲🌳 Trees have inspired many creatives in their work, and this National Poetry Day, we want to share one of our favourites: a quote from "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer.

"I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree."

Street trees are an ideal way to make green space more accessible for those who may not be able to travel to get to their nearest park or forest 🌳🌲

Local residents who rely on street trees for their greenery will also have the advantage of mental and physical health benefits and cleaner air!

The Woodland Trust has found that tree canopy coverage across the UK is far from equal.

Cover ranges from 1-2% in parts of north-east England to 36% in Hampstead, North London. These disparages mean residents don't feel the benefits of things like cleaner air, calmer traffic, and flood defences.

We've worked with a range of businesses, supporting their sustainability goals by planting street trees around their neighbourhoods. Not only are they making the world a bit greener, they're also providing a ton of benefits to their neighbours.
