I learned how to treat and love others from my sister. Through her strength, honesty, and compassion—even in struggle. Some lessons don’t come from books. They come from people who shape you forever.

What I Learned: Big Sis
How to Treat and Love Others I felt it was important to start with my sister. She’s gone now, and with her went a large part of what first brought my mother pride. Her first and only daughter. A brilliant woman who carried so much love and affection. She was everything you’d want in a big sister, and everything a mother hopes her daughter can be.

Where in My Life can I reduce Clutter?

Resolutions fail because they rely on motivation. Systems work because they rely on consistency. Make habits harder to avoid, easier to start, and forgiving when you slip. Progress beats perfection every time.
#AtomicHabits #HabitBuilding #Consistency #Mindset #TheBlueprintMindset
Creating Resolutions That Stick
Task 1 Don't set a resolution. Task 2 I found setting a resolution, just doesn't work. I don't tell anyone I am doing it, I know what I want to do, I just figure out the how, when, and where and follow through. If you said you wanted to give up social media, why delete the app? Start with moving it to a far off page on your phone where apps you rarely, or never use is located, and maybe even put it in a folder, make it more difficult to access.

A year ago, I thought growth meant a new title and company. What I didn’t expect was burnout, pressure, and learning a new kind of leadership. Still moving forward. Still building. Still growing.
#CareerReflection #PersonalGrowth #Mindset #Leadership #GrowthJourney
Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
Is This What I Expected a Year Ago? Somewhat. I expected to be with a new company. I expected a title increase. What I didn’t expect was being asked to take on responsibilities without the time, space, or support required to do them well. The focus from the company and management has been results. Not always the process it takes to achieve those results, and rarely the stress, pressure, or fear that comes along with it.

Top 3, Pet Peeves
I could write about this probably all day, and for multiple categories. Let's just get into it though. Category: Interpersonal Obviously, there are obvious things that can make you a worse person, things that are against the law, but here are a few things I really dislike. Hypocrite: What could be worse than someone saying you shouldn't do something, and then them justifying it for their cause?

Find the place that quiets your mind. For me, it’s Ocean Beach — the waves, the wind, the peace I never had growing up. Escape isn’t running away. It’s giving yourself space to breathe, reset, and remember who you are becoming.

Good habits start with clear cues. When you make your routine obvious—shoes by the door, keys in the same spot, a set time to move—you remove excuses. Visibility creates consistency. #TheBlueprintMindset #AtomicHabits
My Adaptation of the 4 Laws of Habit Forming
The content emphasizes the importance of visibility in forming habits, summarizing strategies for achieving goals. By creating clear cues and organized routines, such as setting a specific time for exercise or placing essential items in visible locations, individuals can enhance motivation and make habit formation more seamless and automatic.

I used to skip stretching, runs in the rain, even small routines. But skipping once turns into skipping twice. Habits build success when you do the hard things—especially when you don’t feel like it. #TheBlueprintMindset #Habits #Growth
What Part of My Routine Do I try To Skip The Most?
The author shares their struggle with skipping morning routines, particularly stretching, despite being athletic. They emphasize the importance of routines in maintaining good habits and achieving success. Skipping minor routines can lead to unwanted habits and pain. Adapting habits while staying consistent, even in challenging circumstances, is key to personal development.

Your instincts already know what’s right for you—listen. Don’t quiet that inner voice or hide who you are to fit in. Expression is truth. Growth begins when you trust yourself enough to follow it. #FollowYourInstincts #Authenticity #SelfGrowth #MindsetMatters
Follow Your instincts
Finding Your Passion in Art ExpressionDiscovering new ways to express who you are is essential to the core of humanity. We often fall into patterns—funnels—and try to fit into what we think success looks like. But when you lock who you are in a dark room, it eventually calls out to be seen, to be heard, to show both you and the world who you really are.

Baked Foods I really like making cheescakes. It started with pound cake, I appreciate my grandmother showing me how to make it, it sparked something in me. The process is very cerebral, has a lot of steps, but if done correctly, the person eating the cheesecake gets a very nice surprise for their tastebuds. I wish I could make it more, but with my schedule, and the amount of time it takes, I usually avoid making it.

Lazy Days: Rested or Unproductive
Unproductive This was gonna be a lazy post, I have been on vacation and wanted to keep this one short and sweet. This question though, I found intriguing. Primarily, on a lazy day, I feel unproductive. It's the idea of stacking positive things, or habits. If I miss a run day, that's one less day of getting better. I don't seek to seem maniacal, but with my background in sports, that's how you're supposed to view off days.

Favorite Hobby
Learning I love to learn about people, life and interesting subjects. I ask a lot of questions, I believe learning more about people, helps you understand yourself, but also improves my communication in other settings. I also genuinely find people and there thoughts, desires, quirks just interesting. It's nice to understand what makes everyone tick, how they became who they are and why they chose to do and say things they do.
