Drones whizzed past our floor, a black cloud that zipped up to the darkening sky. I recoiled, but Alecto caught me by the waist. "Watch." The black cloud congealed into a clump, caught in the net of light pollution. A spark of red ignited amidst the amorphous blob and spread, blazing color into the other drones until a magnificent red rose blossomed before my eyes. The rose wilted and its petals peeled off, exploding into fireworks before they touched the skyline. "Told you," he whispered, pulling me in tighter. For half an hour, dragons and giants battled in the heavens; a jester cartwheeled across the stars; an elephant balanced on the moon.
