@mrjohncrace.bsky.social Thank you for a great session in Manchester tonight. It was very good to see you in person and you managed to be both amusing and sobering at the same time!

A few weeks ago someone posted a short video of a cat's plaintive mewing for food. Cosmos, a Siamese cat, wants to tell you about the correct way to get attention from your humans - she's just come in and wants a stroke. #caturday #proofofcat

Happy #caturday from Cosmos, the yowling tyrant who seems to spend much of her day noisily demanding to be stroked, as only Siamese cats do.

A super bit of Swift conservation in Felixstowe where this building hosting multiple nests went under scaffolding. The builders listened, adapted the scaffolding to permit Swifts to access their nest sites, kept the nooks open & now added Swift bricks to help the colony expand.

@popey.me Just listening to your Ask The Hosts answer about Jean Michel Jarre at the Docklands. I didn't go, but could see that Docklands from the bedsit I was living in at the time, so listened to the live radio broadcast and watched the fireworks and lasers from Camberwell.

BIG NEWS!! The second BillableHour Summer Tee is now available with all profits going to @savechildrenUK. It is a banger from design superstar @gailmyerscough.co.uk and a must have for any lawyer (link to shop in reply). As you'd expect from a tee this reasonable, it comes in many colours. BEHOLD!!

Someone called me about this poor #fox they had spotted. I called www.thefoxrescuers.org.uk and 30 minutes later a volunteer had driven out, captured the fox and taken it to the vet. Sadly it had to be put to sleep, but thanks to the volunteers who give up their time to rescue suffering animals.

@rostaylor.bsky.social You mentioned the French Tawny Owls on @ohgodwhatnow.bsky.social. We have Tawny Owls living on the walking/cycling path behind our house, a few miles from the centre of Manchester, and Barn Owls living nearby too - I saw one out hunting early one morning last week.
