Mom was too busy providing for four kids and never explained why parroting certain words she said wasn't kosher— something I learned as an adult.

I'm trying to regain certain things in Filipino culture.l and trying to achieve a balance. My ateh definitely noted the last time I saw her I'm embracing Filipino culture more than she is (I'm also Tisay, she's not, and she's lived in the RP longer. )

You cannot "Fiscal Responsibility" out of being underpaid any more than you can EAP your way out of systemic problems (and I'm sure, teachers in the RP are also systemically underpaid like they are in the US.)
