I was poking around today and wanted to stop in a cafe. I looked on maps and found a likely looking place — only to see that it was tiny, dark, and staffed by a very handsome man. I got totally intimidated and turned around 😅

Much better student art today: the prompt was to draw a fun t-shirt (I put little “for funsies” prompts at the bottom of vocab quizzes) and my new favorite student drew a muscle t-shirt and then drew me in the background lifting weights with the caption “strong.”

I have either been too mean so students are reacting or I have been too nice so students feel comfortable being rude to me. Either way…🥲

I’m downtown this weekend because I am going to a job fair tomorrow! Please send a few good thoughts my way, light candles, etc because I want to stay in Shanghai (I adore this city) but I really want a better school. International, maybe teaching high school for a bit 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
