And I will never miss to point out: Their usual phrasing of "unconditional solidarity" already acknowledges they knowingly decided to support unethical positions.
You don't need "unconditional" to do what's right.

I used to hate how everybody is just rude to him but turns out they had good reason.

People immersed in fiction tend to oversee the whole situation is made up just to tell the story of people justifying doing evil.

If they were supposed to be the good guys the story would be written in a way that made that possible.
Their 'tough choice' is not real.

"My" guard still is the one where there are dozens of different regiments in the codex, telling you there are tens of thousands more and no two are a like so I disagree with general characterisations.

But GWs model range featuring one that one, portraying them as noble heroes is cowardice to true

Or does Space Crusade count? The German version was called Star Quest and the whole background was re-written so it was about non-lethal fights against robot orks.

When I was a kid who just learned to write I wrote my own rules for battles between all my knight and dinosaur play figures. These notes are lost now sadly.
I didn't know this kind of game was a thing already.

I wanted to explain to a friend hearing WWE used as a term for all pro-wrestling hurts my heart as much as hearing D&D for TTRPGs in general.
