Finally some #CrossBorderRail improvements after Romania joined the #Schengen zone.

Not much advertised, but there are several new international 🇭🇺🇷🇴 trains on the Békéscsaba-Salonta line from 12 May.

6-7 direct trains in a direction (instead of 2) and shorter waiting times at the border.

I visited Steiermark🇦🇹 on the last long weekend (1 May). I stayed in Feldbach and explored the region with the combination of bicycle and train.

Heritage/retro vehicle season started in #Budapest today.

Going home from Vienna🇦🇹: local trains to Hegyeshalom, then EC Dacia to Budapest. I also visited the dining car for a delicious dinner.

Went for a 65km bike ride around Lake Velence. Beautiful weather and some stunning views.

I visited the narrow-gauge railway in Balatonfenyves. I took the train to Csisztafürdő.

Last February, I travelled to Ljubljana 🇸🇮 for a weekend in order to attend a concert. From Budapest I chose Flixbus because their schedule fitted to my plans. The ride was comfortable, everything worked well and we arrived right on time in the Slovenian capital.
