I'm still waiting for the removal of unnecessary waiting times at every 🇭🇺🇷🇴 border station (especially at Lőkösháza/Curtici).

Day 4: travel back to Budapest after a morning chill in Feldbach.

Arrival in Budapest 30 minutes late due to 2 broken doors near the bicycle spaces.

Day 3: Murradweg from Bruck an der Mur to Graz. I really liked the picturesque town centre of Frohnleiten.

Day 2: Raabtalradweg from Feldbach to Weiz. From Weiz I took the train back.

There is a nice single track section of the railway line operated by Steiermarkbahn from Bahnhof Weiz through the town centre.

I split the journey because I have a travel pass valid within Hungary and didn't want to buy a more expensive international ticket. But you cannot combine international+domestic tickets/passes on the same train, so I had to change trains at Hegyeshalom (border station).

I just wish the flooding problem at the motorway underpass was solved. I had to make a detour.

The train consisted of one Hungarian and more Slovenian carriages. I had a great journey in a Slovenian car, arrived in Budapest with a little delay.

In the morning, I caught the Citadella InterCity train to Budapest. The Ljubljana-Celje part was really scenic.

The city's bike-sharing system BicikeLJ costs 1€ for a week (1h continuous rides included), so I tried it out. The bikes are very basic but OK for a flat terrain. The city centre and its surroundings are quite bike-friendly, there are lots of streets with cycling infrastructure and traffic-calming.

I visited the castle and enjoyed the views.

In the afternoon, I explored the central part of Ljubljana. The city centre is a pedestrian zone protected by rising bollards. Very pleasant place to spend time.
