The only thing protecting the thousands of daily U-Pass users in Ottawa from a ridiculous fare increase is the fact that the forthcoming referendum on the increase will pass the day Jesus comes back. All of this could be avoided if OC Transpo was even remotely a priority for the mayor. #ottcity
So the city backed down on hitting seniors with a 120% increase. Was it just a game to get us to accept a slightly less awful fare increase? Youth are still hurt by this budget (they don't have the lobby power of seniors). ottawacitizen.com/news/local-n...

The future REM station at Montreal Trudeau airport is certainly progressing. The size and scale of the station cavern from above is massive. Eager to see how it all integrates together with the airport terminal when it opens a few years down the road.

The REM has proven to be a fantastic example of affordable, efficient and modern transportation for medium to large sized metropolitan areas within North America. This model, which puts only a fraction of the cost on the public should be replicated across the continent. #rail #rem #infrastructure
Update on the REM Project - CDPQ Infra targets fall 2025 for next commissioning of Anse-a-l'Orme and Deux-Montagnes branches. The Airport branch is still planned to arrive in 2027.
