here's an excellent example of how the surface of a street can completely change the atmosphere. #toronto

Lots of people assured me that Dutch-style protected bike intersections would be a nightmare for snow plowing.

Seems fine to me.

i love that #toronto uses the barriers that protect bike lanes as canvases.

you don’t need traffic signs to create safe streets, you need good design. 👇

Transit riders!! It's time for our 2026 INs and OUTs! 🚌✨

We asked our volunteers on Movement's volunteer Discord server what their INs and OUTs are for 2026.

Did we miss any? 🤔

i took montreal’s pie-ix brt this afternoon, and the amount of time spent by buses at red lights is absurdly long.

did you know that the ttc sometimes operates a special bus line in toronto that crosses active runways at billy bishop airport? it only runs when the winter ferry to toronto islands is out of service. #takethettc

👇 check out this cool youtube video of the ride.

the frequency of montreal’s night bus network isn’t as good as toronto’s network, but its coverage and frequency is far superior to vancouver’s network.

At least in Montreal we run the weekend schedule on holidays, but for New Year we extend the service until 3:20am (at that point tbh why not keep it open all night, but it’s better than otherwise)
Kind of wild that London just stops running public transit on Christmas.

Not just a reduced holiday schedule but no trains or buses at all.
