Every day the two-child limit pushes 109 children into hunger.

The UK gov PROMISED to end the need for emergency food.

So we're backing@savechildrenuk.bsky.social to greet MPs to the Labour Party Conference with a message they cannot miss. 👀

Save the Children UK have put a campaign message on a huge billboard opposite Liverpool Lime Street to greet MPs as they arrive to the Labour Party Conference. The billboard shows a photo of a child holding up a red rosette with the words 'change' on it. Text on top reads: 'Wasn't the point of winning to lift kids out of poverty? Scrap the two-child limit. Save the Children.'

Over 14 MILLION people faced hunger in the UK last year due to a lack of money.

Our latest research shows:
‼️ 2.5m more people are facing hunger compared to 3 years ago
🚸 3.8m children faced hunger
💼 Nearly 1/3 of people referred to our food banks were in a household where someone's working

Scottish pensioner poverty is at a 20-year high - almost 160,000 older people.

@trussellscot.bsky.social shows food parcels for older people are up 101% over the past 5 years. Scotland needs a pensioner poverty strategy to stop this trend.
