Facing my own mortality is one thing. Facing that someone will have to care for my adult autistic son once I no longer can is another. My daughter is not capable of taking him in. Jim lucked out and died first. Now I'm left with all these hard decisions.

It's hard not to think about what I "should have" done in the past and how things might've been different. It serves no purpose at this point. I'm where I am now and that's just how it is. I can't change it. I just have to deal. It's one thing to know it another to do it.

It's nice to know that I can come here and see cats, dogs, scenery, mushrooms, squirrels, etc when everything feels so horrible. I can still enjoy all those wonderful things and they do help in their own way.

There's a part of me that's just....done. I don't see any positive future atm. Part of me wishes I'd just drop dead so it's over and I don't have to exist anymore. I'd never do anything to myself, but I'm so tired of all of this. I think I should get a therapist when insurance is settled.

It feels like my entire world is unraveling. Some of it is from a lack of addressing certain issues until later. Even tho he was sick, I didn't expect him to die before 65. I'm only 62. I have no plan for my adult autistic son. His sister can't take him in if something happens to me. Shit.

I will always repost teachers as my wife is a 30 year public school teacher who has been buying supplies out of her own paycheck since 1994. It is a financial burden on young teachers, and it's wrong.

When Trump won a second term, I had faith in our system to keep him in check. That faith quickly faded. The checks and balances don't seem to be working anymore. WTF? I'm really worried at this point.
