When I lived in Vermont I heard that if a leader of geese who fly on annual migrations misleads them to a wrong place, the leader is ostracized and is never trusted again.
So much of this could have been avoided if we had only retained the norm that leaders who lied to the public had to face consequences

so sad. Senate Republicans who will never have to worry about medical insurance, food, shelter.... making the lives of many Americans even more desperate than they are now. it really is unconscionable, grotesque.
Most people probably aren’t tracking this but Senate Republicans just started an all-night voting marathon that will allow them to gut Medicaid and increase child hunger while giving handouts to billionaires like Elon Musk.
