and still people wonder why western AAA studios spend hundreds of millions of dollars throwing away assets after every game and making brand new ones from scratch in an attempt to basically re-engineer the "it's so new and striking and fresh! 10/10!" receptions, while taking 7+ years to make them

obviously i know tastes differ and things i view as improvements are not going to be viewed that way by everyone, and people will and do have specific criticisms or gripes. but definitely a percentage come across to me as if the thought ends at "it's not new therefore i can't like it :(".
