That's when paying the tariff on some IKEA imports becomes attractive.

The problem with the whole "natural immunity" notion is that they are contingent on surviving the infection.

I'll take vaccination with boosters any day.

IKEA has the answer.

Spherical magpies on this chilly (-13F/-25C) morning. They are busily carrying away the kibble and caching it in the trees.

If these were guaranteed, there would be no reason for the poor to fight rich men's wars.

DEI hiring: when you want employees who can "think outside the box" it's hard to make it happen when all your employees grew up in the same box, went to school in the same box, and all hang out in the same box after work.

Their idea of "outside the box" will be limited.

Would Erin or Zoey be harassed in a bathroom for the male gender?

How about this woman?

They often do other care as well, like "well-pup" visits, vaccinations and taking samples for lab tests. If you have lots of pets, nervous pets, hard to handle or just the hate hassle of hauling them to the vet, it's wonderful.

Cat tax included: 24 year old Phantom, a rescue cat.

I use it in bird food and cooking. Never tried it as a skin care because refining it enough to remove that "beefy" odor is a PITA.

How deep do you go? Is high fructose agave syrup any different than high fructose corn syrup?

The first exposure has a 10-14 day delay while the immune system sets up antibody manufacturing. Seen on the graph as infections from COVID suddenly level off in the vaccine recipients.
The NEXT exposure is fast, within a couple of days so you can usually kill the pathogens before they make you ill.

You have been misled. That act has an entire section explaining how to sue and what you can sue for.

Looking for trouble on caturday!
He's about 8 feet up the carpeted climbing pole to get onto a big HVAC duct. And jumping down to a genuine cat tree to get off the duct.
Alas, we moved and his vertical empire shrank.

For fans of pointy-clicky interfaces like me, here's how hard it is with Linux Mint:

Open the Software manager from apps list
Click GRAPHICS
Select the software you want (I picked Inkscape because GIMP is already installed)
Click the GREEN install button

If I wanted to be INVISIBLE in this state and several states around it, this is it. An older pickup with nothing fancy or identifiable. there's a gazillion of them.
My next best getaway car would be a Subaru SUV.

#caturday and my cat is waterboarding herself. She lets it run over her head and shoulders as she laps it from the tub.
Then the thoroughly soaked cat dries herself on my sheets.

We used these stuffed toys to explain to children how we would pack them up after a ski injury. They were usually calmer than the parents.

If they were getting raw milk from an infected cow, or raw poultry from an infected chicken ... yes.

My cats eat KIBBLE! And properly canned gushy food. And the occasional bit of red wine for the resveratol content.

Look up "anamnestic response". It doesn't matter if the initial exposure is the pathogen or a vaccine, it sets your immune system up to respond quickly the next time.
December 22, 2024 at 10:58 PM
It doesn't work that way. Your immune system only keeps a few cells in reserve to turn into antibody-producing ones after vaccination or infection.

What counts for resistance is the early exposure to get the process started, so when the real pathogen shows up, you get a fast spike of antibodies
