CPO & publicity for an indie travel publisher. Helping make books, maps, and apps. Love talking about books, conservation, and outdoor access for all. Big believer that you don’t have to travel far to have a great outdoor experience.

Congress has put the sale of Public Lands back on the table with a possible vote as early as this afternoon. We hope Majority Leader Thune hears the call to please remove the sell-off provision from the reconciliation bill text. It's good business sense as communities rely on these lands to thrive.

I've really enjoyed Ivory for Mastodon (and Tweetbot always was my favorite) I really am not looking to leave the Fediverse, but I do like to see how Tapbots goes about their apps & I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.

The reasons CostCo wants out of the book business 'because it's hard (new books every week) & employees have to touch all the books' are the things indie bookshops & libraries do very well & are proud to do. Their importance as channels increases again. www.nytimes.com/2024/06/05/b...

RIP Caleb Carr, THE ALIENIST was a game-changer of a mystery.
Caleb Carr, Author of Dark Histories, Dies at 68
His own dark history prompted him to write about and investigate the roots of violence, notably in his best-selling novel “The Alienist.”
