I had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to my sweet Waka this morning. She was my rescue. Discarded by someone…she was the sweetest, friendliest, and most loving dog. Her pure joy was ever apparent in her constantly wagging tail. My heart is broken. #bestpittieever

Prior to the 21st century, the evolution of the hummingbird was unclear. Since then, their pre-Pleistocene fossil record has expanded, with the most recent specimen found in Poland in 2016, placing them throughout Europe and Asia.
