"Hey! Why aren't you running into that burning building to rescue someone?"

"...I haven't been invited in so I can't enter..."

"...what?"

It is, but as long as I don't go crazy I should hopefully at least keep at the same level, even if it halts the downward trend for a bit.

I feel like my answer may not be representative (because I didn't move to the UK til I was 8) but nope, I certainly don't recall any of Dr Seuss' stuff

This is absolutely horrific news, I'm so sorry. Heartbreaking news... Lots of love from me flying its way across the Atlantic to you!

*Live & Kicking theme intensifies*

Apparently it was due to snow where we were at 4am... and I was happily asleep in a warm bed!

Naomi Osaka (tennis player) and Michelle Obama are both 5'11" and fairly broad. Beyoncé isn't tall (5'6") but broadish. Gwendoline Christie (actress who played Brienne in GoT) is huge! Let alone many women in many sports.

I agree with you - tall and blocky is absolutely not just for men!

Yeah, I mean, I understand the idea - it's a museum, there'll be lots of kids, so you'll need some sinks that are lower down. But it should still look sink-like, else you'll get... ahem... misunderstandings...

Oh I know that hand wash basin! Yeah, this is the problem when you change the design of things a little too much from the norm.

Congratulations! :)

Mine concluded it's not ADHD as there wasn't enough evidence in childhood, which is frustrating as I have many in adulthood. Going to see about ADD instead.

I hope your treatment goes well, whatever it may be :D

I studied Japanese at university for 30h total. It was intensive but very interesting - however, I don't remember much of it now.

My piece of advice now you've cancelled DuoLingo - find a way to keep engaged with the language to keep it active, regularly, and not just listening/watching.

Oh dear, not where you want to be at that time in the morning, I hope you're doing as best as you can? Get well soon!
November 13, 2025 at 9:43 AM
...in terms of achievements, I am totally on board with that :D Just to say you've done it (and survived!)

Hmm, I dunno. I really appreciate a break part of the way - an opportunity to stretch legs, freshen up (shower if possible)... I much rather that when I flew LHR-DXB-BNE than a direct flight (or two flights where the stopover is close to either start or end)

Oh deer! That's not fawn! How stag-gerly brazen of them to try and buck the Hallowe'en trend...

...shh, I'm doe-ing my best with these puns...
