This is such a good point. I’m curious how these visuals get approved for schools/USDA materials in the first place. It connects to what we discussed this week, how nutrition science can get oversimplified or twisted into misleading messages.
It’s heartbreaking that RFK Jr.’s graphic may end up in school books and USDA materials. Kids deserve science-based guidance, not confusion. Nutrition education should build health, not rewrite evidence to fit ideology.

This week I learned that not all nutrition “evidence” is equal. One thing I’ll look for is study credibility, sample size, study design, and conflicts of interest, before trusting a claim.

I’m PharmD Class of 2023, I'm taking this course because I need a BEH course for my major. My nutrition question: what’s the easiest way to build a healthy diet without overthinking it? Healthy eating means balance. Favorite food: Hotpot.
