I'd suggest you go. You can always leave when you want to. Being around other people is better than being alone when you're really not enjoying being alone.

I worked on a musical in 1983 that Dexter Fletcher was in. I saw him the other day riding a bike near Mount Pleasant. He would have had absolutely no clue who I was.
