Remembering Maggie Stables who passed away 26th September 2014. I thought she was a great actress and wonderful as Evelyn in the @bigfinish.bsky.social Sixth Doctor stories. ‘Doctor Who and the Pirates’ and ‘The Spectre of Lanyon Moor’ are my favourites.

Kubrick’s film is a very loose adaptation of the book. He goes places the book doesn't and personally i think its the better for it. The Shining is a good book and closer adaptations have been made. But some books are better staying as books and films be free to be films. Especially when its Kubrick

As times get weird, there's a Doctor Who audio drama from 2002 that I think about a lot called Neverland.

In it the Doctor discovers that his own people, the Time Lords, used to have a method of execution called "the Oubliette of Eternity" which erases the convicted person from time completely.

The Sundance Kid was how I first saw him on film and adored him but it was as Bob Woodward in All the President's Men I realised what a damn good actor he was. RIP Mr Redford.
