I'm still learning about using APIs at this level, it seemed like you wouldn't be able to get the context out of SDL that you need to configure OpenXR however, that was the concern I ran into myself. I ended up pivoting to Silk.NET.WebGPU (being a .net guy and all) I was curious if I made a mistake

I'm curious, I was looking at your methodology and reading over your history, I saw you used SDL3, I also saw you made VR apps. Recent research of mine showed these as being incompatible, and I'm curious if your experience suggests otherwise?

should really start with pointing out that C# support isnt real and that if you actually want to be able to use the engine and the community developed tools, you must use GDScript.

For example, if working with VR, the library available requies you to implement new locomotion modes using GDScript.

ive never found my fried rice to be sticky, and i prefer to use fresh cooked white rice.
Usually I will heavily wahs the rice to remove the free starches, but thats primarily to remove carbs. The free starches are a big part of the stickiness. rinse and wash till the water runs clear.

psh, fresh cooked fried rice ftw!

To make it extra healthy, dice mushrooms to add after adding some fresh minced garlic and grated ginger to your wok with a tiny bit of olive oil.
For some sugar balancing, blend some brocolli and stir fry it to add some nutrients thar help your body proc the carbs.

This first thing i did was make my own manager for this. Godot version of Unity Hub where i can manage projects, godot installs, etc. Someome made one using Godot as well.

are you seriously shitting on Carl Sagan righr now?
June 23, 2025 at 1:16 PM
im going to lump all the artists together now because of you.

its clear that the anti ai stance has nothing to do with morality.

its entirely about gatekeeping certain types of content.

dont even bother with idiots lile this man.

it's a waste of time and energy and it emboldens them to continue to spread their non thinking bullshit.

The proc gen in No Mans Sky is a testament to human ingenuity, not some kind of refutation of it.

Id say switch to godot or something, but unfortunately it comes with its own limitations. the multi language ecosystem causes consistent harm to the growth of the community through fragmentation. Im currently converting the XR Tools to c# bc lang interopt doesnt allow inheritence...

i think the answer is no, but is this related to the work you were doing with electrons recently, or just a fun break?

I would have been stoked to see this. Ive been toying with an idea fairly similar to this, but there just isnt enough time. This is the kind of creativr application of PCG i want to see more of!

its also nice to be able to register your own shortcuts into this system, which works fairly simply, and gives you all the functionality without really any implementation work on your end.

I don't know if you care about modding, but if you do, Enums are not fun to build extensible systems around.

sounds like an unexpected feature :D

Looks like the scan-lines didn't survive the web compression despite using webm :*(

its not specific subs, its reddit as a whole, almost everyone on there is a complete shit head.

Having reasonable respectful conversations is nearly impossible on reddit.

sorry, dumb idea, as in silly idea
February 11, 2025 at 6:31 PM
do you have any examples? im not aware of any that have a mechanic like this.

also, dumb as in silly, unnecessary, like you said.
on paper it just doesnt really make sense.
February 11, 2025 at 6:30 PM
Ill be brutally honest. This isnt meant to be mean.

That is such a dumb, but im strangely fascinated by it, its super creative. Where could you see taking it?

I could see it feeling less wierd if somehow level editing was actually part of the game... but then it probably becomes less interesting?

Is this an unwrap of the bvh?

Assuming this is a tex based solution and you're using shaders.
IIRC you need to account for the fact that horizontal and vertical pixels are not at the same distance as diagonal pixels.
