Yes, special needs provision was definitely in its infancy - when I was at school this usually involved the more academically able kids sitting and helping the ones who had problems! I suppose it kept everyone quiet though 😹

Terrible. The older I get the more grateful I am that I went to school in the UK in the 70s and 80s.

Bit of a mixed bag here, weather wise; wish I could say the same for the #FirstBirdOfMyDay, which is dominated by Gulls and Feral Pigeons at this time of year. This morning it was a vociferous Common Gull shouting from the rooftops 😸

Oh I’m quite happy to watch most N American sports (with the exception of football - can’t get my head around it at all) but they seem to pop up a lot here instead of the ones I prefer. Spose it’s the user base of this platform 😸

I know, I was just being facetious - here if you’re European and have ‘sport’ as your interests you get an endless stream of baseball, hockey and ‘football’ instead of proper sports like football, rugby and cricket 😹

No but it gets uncovered periodically when there’s building work - the city got bombed by the Allies in 1944 & then in 1945 the population was evacuated when it became part of Poland so any unexploded stuff was left for the newcomers to find. Last year they found one with about 300lb of explosives.

Obvs this is a bit advanced but here if there’s any kind of danger/bad weather/unexploded WWII ordnance (there’s a lot here) the authorities send everyone in the vicinity a text to inform/warn them. Nanny state and all 😹

That’s a relief provided it doesn’t get out of control! It would be nice if they informed locals before they started torching woodland, but I suppose that’s too much to expect, right?
