This is another great article. One that digs into why different tech users might feel so differently about Ai, without falling back to, “those people just have cynical motivations”
On a quite related note, I found this interesting - the way chatbots are offered and marketed effectively (and problematically) leverages the way the humans process the world in a way that leads people into believing the bots are close to human.
