bringing back a classic

an adaptation of the sandy loam chart, aka, a triangle where each side is an axis from 0 100, forming triangular little pockets in the center in a pseudo-3-axis chart form. the three axes are "hoinky sploinky" "doinky woinky" and "rinky dinky," each with a "pure" form (penis music, furret walk, and ukelele covers respectively). there is a minor screed here about electroswing sucking, which it does.

The perfect endpoint of this process for the capitalist is Spotify, a monopoly that replaces the entire record distribution industry with one giant cheap distribution machine that pays artists and workers basically nothing and only requires a handful of engineers to run.

Eventually capitalists make C so cheap and are unwilling to invest more in it that they exclusively seek businesses that rely more on squeezing V with higher productivity, longer hours, lower pay. Once you reach the end of that process what do you do? Worship AI and think it can replace V entirely?

Marx describes this process. Variable Capital (aka labor power, represented as V) and Constant Capital, like machines and ingredients and stuff, represented as C. The way for capitalists to fight the tendency for the rate of profit to fall (TRPF) is to squeeze V's productivity and make C cheaper.

i think today is the first day that I am really convinced that we are all going to wake up one morning pretty soon and the AI bubble will pop and all the other economic disasters that have been swept under the rug will unravel all at once, creating an unprecedented recession snowball that wont stop.

Reminder to cis people that anti trans legislation can and will also hurt you, if you’re not already motivated to care about trans rights. We need stronger state level privacy laws around medical records in a post-Roe world for abortion rights, too.
