I wonder if there will be a renegade movement of schools declaring themselves 'charter schools' so they can ignore the new curriculum and keep teaching the old curriculum

I am also gonna That Asian Parent about all the Māori kids repping Nga Puna O Waiorea, looking so sharp in their dress uniforms, absolutely wiping up in the cross-school prizes for leadership, and celebrating all the wins with an easy pride and emotional fluidity that shows us all how it's done ❤️♥︎🖤

Special mention to that one Chinese kid who got a Mandarin prize and went up there with a giant messy fringe fully covering their face, super baggy jumper, head down, zero eye contact, you carry my high school soul with you.

Shoutouts to all the half-Chinese kids who got prizes for effort in Mandarin. I see you, I see your struggle. As for the full Chinese kids who got prizes for achievement in Mandarin, I mean is that even allowed, but full credit for taking the easy win. Gotta be some advantages in life for us.
