I fit in more at a pub/crowd full of football fans than what I ever will in a gay bar

And everything in 2024 proved that to me, I went to Eurovision and the Euros

The Euros was by far more fun and exciting that what Eurovision could ever be

I’m a fan of both, but my feelings are incomparabile

Sexuality and personality should never ever mix together

My experience has taught me that I can be who I am, and not have to revolve everything around it, I hate even talking about it

Sexuality should be a non-issue, it doesn’t bother anyone that’s normal

And because of this, I feel so lonely, as this just feels totally unique as an issue

And I’ll probably get ‘internalised homophobia’ (grow up?) as a reason

Which draws on to the main issue I have with the LGBT community

Why do we have to fit a mould? Or forced to be, just to fit in

If the LGBT+ community is really a community, then let people live the lives we want to live, not because of what but who we are

We fought for equal rights and not have anyone be discriminated to be ourselves, let’s keep it that way

And the end of the day, I just want to live my life to be myself and not be put in a box because of who I’m attracted to, it’s pathetic behaviour

I’d rather be at the football or an Irish bar, than be in any gay bar or go to Pride, and that’s just who I am

And don’t get me started on drag….it creeps me out beyond belief and somehow I got branded ‘homophobic’ for it

Men wearing makeup gives me the ick in general, but I’d never stop anyone from not doing drag or wearing makeup, I just wouldn’t be irl friends with those people and that’s the harsh truth

Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I have to like ‘pop girlies’

In fact, I despise 99% of them, whether that be the spice girls, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey etc etc, I hate their music with a passion

I’ll probably use my account to make these rants, just my frustrations with life, like, Eurovision is probably the only LGBT friendly thing I like, and I didn’t like Eurovision because of its ‘openness’, I genuinely like it for the music, any song that has ethnic sounds is what I love the most

People should never treat flight attendants simply as flying bartenders. They alongside the flight crew are there to get you to your destination safely, and if that fails they are there to save your life.

I doubt the crew on AHY8243 could have done more in response to such an awful attack.

Just to add on for context, it also did not help that when I lived in Manchester, I tried to go into G.A.Y. to have my first gay bar experience

Which ended very abruptly when I was told ‘you can’t go in, you’re dressed too straight’

Openness and acceptance unless you wear a polo top and jeans….

4. Bluntly, I have a deep dislike to gay culture (except Eurovision if you count it)

I often feel lumped into the same rainbow mould, and it’s something I don’t fit into or want to be associated with

Because of this, I have not, and have no plans to go to any Pride event (except Kyiv Pride)

3. I’m a big Eurovision fan (you’re not shocked)

My first Eurovision I watched was 20 years ago when Ruslana got Ukraine’s first win in 2004

But it was 2005 when Helena Paparizou won for Greece that really got me into the contest 🇬🇷
