The smaller half of GongSpa. My life is Gongs, Da Bears, coffee, knitting and all the vegetables. I also hoard books, am learning German, love to walk, sew, Nalbind, origami, going charity shopping, and draw. There is not enough time.
This is great 😊
I had a rubble and asphalt front garden when we moved into our house. It was a beast to lift but worth it. Tip from my neighbour to pass on- gather and distribute worms. I did a lot of lurking by park flower beds being dug over- snaffled around 40/50 worms that I rehomed. They heal💪

Share holding vs individuals need to survive and thrive snaggles that all up. I am not there to see people loose creative jobs to computers/computing- there’s no fun in that.

In a perfect world he’s right. AI, which looks more like artificial computing to me, could be an amazing tool to churn so people don’t have to. We should all be free from jobs we don’t love to explore our creativity to feed it and train it.

People don’t think about the physical toll of knitting. I’ve just nearly finished a project using newish techniques and am ready for a break. Hopefully a few rounds of socks will rest you 😊

I am fully prepared to engage a lap table or a standing desk when knitting big things. Anything that keeps the weight off the needles. It’s annoying but I can’t knit much more than socks otherwise. And I am strong so it’s not that. I’ve been tempted by a drip stand so I could hang heavy WIP’s 😂

I always measure diagonally across the heel to make sure the sock gets on then figure it from there.

Pattern Pixels Pullover by Claudia W in Malabrigo Worsted, cadmium and hot pink. It’s beyond soft.

I love a rainy guilt free car knit 😊 that’s a beautiful blue.

I’ll check that out. It seams that steaming would be easier for the heavy dense wooden knits too. They are a lot to handle when wet.

That’s helpful. I’ll try and get a move on so I can try that out over Summer- outside! Our house is so damp I am considering an extension for ironing and the rice cooker 😏 Steaming makes sense to me.

That will be me learning about blocking then!

Hey Marta, I’ve sent you a message 🙂

I have that mag, I love this shoot. If I break a leg, I’ll be trying to knit the enormous jacket from it 😏

Another version of the RukeKnits cardigan with cable inserts. I think I’ve knitted it about 7 times now 😊

Ugly but done. Hoping it’ll sort itself out while I carry on knitting. I hope I don’t do that again.

Singing and knitting must surely be a thing, if you have the skills. ( My singing voice is a definite NOPE. ) My current knit feels very Nick Drake but the last one was Femininominom on repeat 😂 I’d love videos of singing knitters.

😂 I have a had a firm word with myself about buying more wool for a while! I do have a knitting machine so there’s a chance of burning through the stash with some scarf/hat gifts 😏 I might look at mitten patterns as well- good call 😊

I have both used a smooth bowl and a lazy Susan 😂 I sit cross legged so a bowl is cosy. About to knit a new cardigan on next break so will remember to pack one 😊
