Farm workers are "supposed to" get 5 paid sick days a year. Non-union workers have been telling us that's not happening. Donate to help workers win union contracts where their legal rights are respected. act.seiu.org/a/sickpay?ms... #WeFeedYou

10/2: Trump proposes to cut wages for all farm workers by up to $7/hour AND charge them rent for gov't provided housing. @ufw.bsky.social says it's “a catastrophe for American workers... When guest worker wages are lowered, it is American jobs that are lost" to cheaper foreign workers, hurts us all.

Farm workers are setting up the loader at a cattle ranch. "Erik" shares: running heavy machinery isn’t just about driving. It takes a team effort. We often move hundreds of pounds of feed, clear manure, and more under tough conditions. #WeFeedYou

#YesOnProp50

Voting Yes on Proposition 50 is vitally important to farm workers and immigrant families. Trump is attacking and targeting latino families. Yes on Proposition 50 pushes back to protect our voices in Congress.  It is a chance to stand together and say: enough is enough. #YesOnProp50

Martin shared this pic of his coworker in Grandview WA working in the hops. Hop vines are hung upside down to remove the cones before the clean hops are moved to a hop kiln to be dried until they reach an optimal moisture content needed for making beer. #WeFeedYou

Excuse me but you got it wrong. The UFW membership endorsed and walked for Harris. You are talking about how farmers voted. Farm workers voted very differently and most certainly did NOT vote for Trump.

Workers in the Gilroy area are weeding the parsley. Their backs hurt by the end of the day as they need to bend over/crouch to cut the weeds with a small curved harvest sickle, as using a hoe can damage the product. #WeFeedYou

"Juan" traveled from CA to harvest blueberries in OR. "The fields are in bad condition-so overgrown I can barely walk. I was to get paid 40 cents/lb, but the labor contractor who brought us here doesn't want to pay us sometimes. I'm not protected by a union contract." #WeFeedYou

"Abel" share this photo from where he was harvesting corn in Oceanside, CA. He shares, "It is a tiring job because all day long we load the big bin with corn. And then we must carry it to the edge of the field so it could be packed in boxes. It gets very heavy." #WeFeedYou

"Leo" share this from where he was pruning pistachio trees in Madera, CA. "It's tough work. The trees are tall and we have to have our arms up all day. The shears we use weigh about 7 lbs. Our arms & hands are very sore at the end of the day. We earn CA minimum wage." #WeFeedYou

"Eva" harvests blackberries in Oxnard, CA. The job may sound easy, but it's very hard. I must work very fast to fill my buckets, then put the berries in the plastic baskets and stack the baskets in the boxes. It's tiring repetitive work that makes my back & neck ache. #WeFeedYou

I appreciate what you're saying, but workers sent in these photos/videos for us to share. They want their stories out there and the public to recognize the work they do. We don't use real names nor give a specific geographic area in what we post. That is why we say Madera area vs a specific town.
