@tonywaller.bsky.social I think a certain podcast (DawgNation) has been listening to the Waitin Since Last Saturday podcast and added their own take on the distance game.

I can’t speak for every city, but here in LA, ICE bounty hunters aren’t going after gang members. They’re hunting the vulnerable: gardeners, street vendors, day laborers.

Easy money, no risk.

Folks need to stop pretending this is about crime.

@jacobsoboroff.bsky.social—thank you for your words.

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.

An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."

The other said, "Take him anyway."

So they did.

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

@jonathancapehart.bsky.social Thank you for pronouncing it dodgy, which is the appropriate description of them. Everyone in the media should follow suit.

Schumer is trying to justify his vote on Jake Tapper right now, saying if they had let the government shut down "they could fire half the workers in the federal government."

WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'RE DOING RIGHT NOW CHUCK

@maddow.msnbc.com I think d.o.g.e. Should be pronounced “Dodgy” since the definition fits. Perhaps we could get the media who have yet to bow down and kiss the ring to band together and call them what they are. #Dodgy

Happening in North Carolina right now: A Republican who just lost a state supreme court election is using a horseshit legal theory cooked up by Republican activists to ask the Republican majority *on the same court he wants to join* to overturn his loss and make him a justice anyway
Republicans Do Not Think People Are Entitled to Elections Anymore
In North Carolina, Republican state supreme court justices will soon decide whether to overturn an election to seat a Republican who lost it.

"California paid in a lot more [to the federal government] than it got back — $83 billion in total. So did Washington state and much of the Northeast. Most red states were in the reverse position, getting much more from DC than they paid in return."

"We need to call privatization what it is: adding a profit tax onto a public good. A public post office puts all its resources toward delivering mail. A privatized post office will divert a large chunk of its income to shareholders. In what universe is that better?"
