Denise is an Ecologist with a wide range of interests. She is a site manager for the environmental change network at Wytham Woods 🌳, carries out vegetation surveys & soil sampling 🌱 for the countryside survey and is a river chess champion for the Floods and Droughts Research Infrastructure project.

The work on evaluating the UK's #AMR National Action Plan was recently published which focused on stakeholder opinions on the implementation of the 2019-2024 plan 🦠

@istanton.bsky.social is an Environmental Molecular Microbiologist with a particular interest in dissemination, selection & transmission of both bacterial and fungal #AMR. Isobel has undertaken numerous pieces of work for policy, including an evaluation of the UK’s AMR National Action Plan 🦠🍄🧬

@brionyjones.bsky.social studies soil microbes by using bioinformatics & statistical analyses on large scale soil survey data. Her work has included predictive modelling of bacterial communities, the development of ID-TaxER & utilizing co-located soils & genomic data from public repositories 🧬🦠

Alex Lewis is joining UKCEH this month as a Molecular Microbiology Research Assistant. Alex will be working on a range of UKCEH’s #AMR projects. Previously, Alex was undertaking a Master’s at @lshtm.bsky.social where her research was investigating resistant E. coli from pig farms in Vietnam 🦠🐷🚜
