knowing and
understanding
that the sun will greet
you each day
without judgement,
or comment.
It will paint the clouds,
colour the horizon,
and allow you to be

There will be moments when it's not smart to consume certain art we find moving & meaningful. There are songs & poems I absolutely love & treasure-- but which don't support me in managing my emotions or cravings when I'm fragile.

Invite him home for dinner
but don’t insist on rhyme;
he may be as tired and as overworked
as his distant cousin Cliché.
Best to offer intriguing conversation
that’s light on analysis.
