We launched a new sample management system for data collection that allows for innovative survey and data collection, and we launched our new web panel that will start collecting data in Fall 2026.

We hope this will provide researchers with access to rigorous, reliable survey data for academic research; opportunities to test questions and survey methods using a national panel; and timely data delivery, quality benchmarks, and support for data analysis

I also need to protect my own mental health, so moving political commentary to their own list-so I can drop in and check on things but not have it constantly in my feed. Now I go directly to my List feeds instead of the All Feed and it seems to be working in seeing research I missed earlier.

Definitely interested in how they predict and the configuration of all the predictions and the relations change as new variables are added. How are you thinking of "driving"? Maybe I use the term large effect or small effect for that term

I'm good with thinking about all types of plausible models. I am a very strong proponent of stating what those models are and then testing them--not just having the data lead the way.

I stopped chasing causality a long time ago. The idea that we would ever be able to identify one (or a few) aspects of the human condition as being the reason certain behaviors are always seen-is not understanding the complexity of humans and all the variables that go into a behavior.

Yes, I have had that exact experience!
