Officially back on the job today. It's taking me longer than I'd like to get back into the swing of things but I've learned to slow down and ask for help when needed. This is the season of change.

Well, I'm going to go back tomorrow.. so I guess my first day back wasn't too bad. Starting slow with alternating gym and swim days, working my way into strength training.

The only real downside to having a kid in a private day home is waking up to a "we're closed today" message and having to pivot your entire day. Oh well, such is #dadlife

I made mushroom bourguignon for dinner tonight.
These are cloud eggs or nest eggs. Egg whites whipped to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt and then aged white cheddar folded in. Baked at 450 for 6 or so minutes and then you lay the yolk in and cook for another 3 minutes. What an absolute delight. So light and flavourful.
